Male Pijace

Male Pijace (Hungarian: Kispiac) is a village founded on the crossroads, which makes it an ideal marketplace.

The land at Male Pijace is good for agricultural production of cereal, fruit, corn, wine as well as for cattle breeding.

Every last Sunday of the month a big village fair takes place in Male Pijace. Visitors can buy various products,  peaces of wooden furniture and decoration, home made soap, food, clothes, along with cattle and agricultural machines.

Right across the street from the marketplace there is „the Ethno House at Kiris”, which presents rural life during the last century. Apart from learning about local history and tradition, the hosts in the Ethno House offer tasting a local gastronomic specialty – mutton stew.
